1965 Shelby Daytona coupe is legendary. Only 6 were ever produced,but with this design Carrol Shelby became the first Americanmanufacturer to win an international GT championship in 1965. Thiscar is definitely worthy of a tribute, and this Coupe reallyperforms. With only 25 miles on the odometer, she was built to runon the open road, power plant is all aluminium Corvette LS 1 350ci5.7L engine, Muncie M20 transmission, 8.8 rear end, 4-wheel discbrakes, and a fully adjustable koni coilover suspension. Itdelivers all the sound and fury you would expect from a vintageracing car. This replica is based on a Factory Five Gen 3 platform.It was finished spring of 2023 after a three year build. The frameand its integral roll cage all show very nicely with a satin blackfinish. The fiberglass bodywork is finished in pure white with thecorrect 1965 France to Nurburgring racing stripes and numbers. TheDaytona looks fast even when its standing still. The Kammback tailincludes frenched in Lucas design beehive tail, turn, and backuplights, and frenched in license plate. Additional exterior featuresinclude a correct rear spoiler, Le Mans design fuel cap, dual footbox vents, dual bullet chrome side mirrors, and 17 inch torquethrust style wheels with Toyo Extensa HP2 tires (245/45ZR17 front,315/35ZR17 rear). The car has a fantastic power to weight ratiothanks to the LS motor pushing 400hp. Note this modern engineweighs less and makes more power than the old vintage Shelbys!Some of the Coupes features include an MSD ignition control, Holleyhigh rise with a Demon carburetor. It makes a wicked sound throughthe all stainless steel headers and side exhaust, while thealuminum radiator and Dual electric fans keep everything runningcool. The transmission is a Rebuilt Muncie 4 speed with acenterforce hydraulic clutch. Out back is a 8.8 Ford rear end with3.08 gears. The 4 wheel disc brakes have drilled and slottedrotors.
