1912 Springfield Armory Bayonet with SA fire bomb markings. Stamped US 1912- serial # 531486. Make offer, no reasonable offer will be refused. I would rather sell it to someone who would enjoy it than have it sit in my basement. The M1905 Bayonet was one of the U.S. most commonly used bayonet. It was utilized in both WW1 and WW2. It was originally developed to fit the M1903 Springfield Rifle. Early versions (up until 1918) of the M1905 bayonet had what is described as brilliant, bare metal blades. These were 16 blades and which included a wooden had grip. 1905 Springfield (SA) Serial Numbers- 1912: 514458-546577. http://antiqueoutings.com/m1905-bayonet/#prettyPhoto.
