50's Gossip Chair. In the time before cellular phone housewives of the 50's had one of these beautiful Gossip Chairs to sit their huge bulky housephones on. Usually with a beautiful handmade crocheted doily positioned under the phone. This one is as durable as the day it was made, and in the fifties you understand that THAT was tough! It's all initial. All I've done is wax it with some boiled linseed oil to bring out the stunning color of the wood. The seat cover is in wonderful condition, no rips or spots. It would make an excellent statement in your entryway hall, bed room, or anywhere else you need a helpful little seat or table. This would be a perfect location for your cordless phone, iPod dock, and even just a place to put your grab-and-go products: car keys, sun glasses ... It would make a cool smart-phone, laptop or tablet work station if you're making use of a dish, paying attention to music, or talking on ur cell, speaker phone, etc .
