ANTIQUE THOS KANE ORNATE SCHOOL DESK CAST IRON WOOD PATENT 1876. In the side of the cast iron it continues reading one side Time Flies and on the other sid Aim High. The patent is on the hinge cast iron dated Feb 1, 81 and on the cast iron for the desk the patent date is Jan 18, 76. It has the number 1 stamped in the cast iron. Has an ink well. There is a part missing that holds the desk up, otherwise in wonderful antique condition. The desk determines 24" large x 311/4" tall x 201/2" depth with desk down x 12" deep on desk. Stored in a smoke free house.
