Dime Savings and Trust Company, likewise called First Valley Bank, is a historic bank building located at 12 North 7th Street, Allentown. It was developed in 1925, and is a "T"-shaped, five-story red brick building. The base is sheathed in limestone, and the unique brick and limestone attic level is reflective of the Art Deco style. It was included to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The structure is presently being renovated as part of the PPL Center project that began construction in 2012. The structure is prepared to be included into the Arena complex. The Dime Bank Building will certainly be used as the lobby for a 200-room hotel that will be attached to the field. Its two-story foyer, when the main banking area, will house the front desk and upper floors will consist of workplaces and conference area for the field operators. Display room place: 1518-20 West Walnut St. Allentown, PA 18102.2nd floor.Hours: Saturdays (other than vacations) 9 a.m. to noon. Payment: Checks or money.
