I am selling a cigar flannel with a pennant with the Harvard on it. This is the largest college felt that I have seen being 5? x 7?, ornately decorated and looks like a miniature rug. The colors are bright. There is fringe on both ends, an inch of which is missing on one side. Otherwise it is in very good condition. These were popular in the late 1800?s & early 1900?s. They are called by a number of names including tobacco flannels, "cigar flannels" or "cigar felts".The flannels were distributed in or on cigarette and tobacco products. I will sell it for $20.
