Description:
Great near mint old German clock purchased from a master clock maker years ago. Keeps excellent time, within seconds per week. Cleaned and serviced and most likely dating from mid 19th century. Has initial stamp, see picture. Clock maker friend kept in mind P48 however I'm unsure exactly what that implies. This chimes on half hour when, very pleasant noise and on the hour. Hour chime is very same variety of dongs as the time, 2pm is 2 dongs. Midday is 12 dongs. I paid a lot of cash for this and will certainly be sorry to see it go. 3' 8" tall, simply under 1 foot broad. Perfect condition.
