This is a 53cm, c-c , x 53cm top tube, 1980s road race bike. It is built of Columbus SL tubing in Italy by Conti, a small Italian frame builder who sponsored Lucien Van Impe for a couple seasons, among other good pros . I think Conti is down by Florence. Frame has the stunning and rare cromovelato treatment in a very attractive bright red color . Chromed Fork and stays. Decals are scraped off in places as shown. Cromovelato is good, but has two significant paint levels by the right shifter, as shown. Chrome is pretty good for a 42 yr old bike. The bike is a mix of Campagnolo nuovo record and grand record. Shift levers have nice drillium treatment. 52 big chain ring has CONTI Drillium. Wheels Dre flight true, 6 sod freewheel, 126mm rear axle spacing. Tubular tires glued on. Non matching tubular rims. Concor Super Corsa saddle. Black 120mm 3ttt stem. I might sell just the frameset if that is what you want.
