Up for sale is my Kyocera Pl-910 turntable. If you are reading this you likely already know what you are looking at. Manufactured by Micro Seiki, in the neighborhood of 150 produced. The Vintage Knob has an excellent write-up here: http://www.thevintageknob.org/kyocera-PL-910.htmlI never thought I’d sell this incredibly rare, vintage audiophile turntable, but it’s just too nice to be sitting in a closet—and I have other expensive hobbies. (Also, with a toddler getting increasingly into records, I have switched to something less esoteric and irreplaceable.) Excellent and period-correct SME 3000 series III tonearm and perfectly matched Shure V-15 type iii cartridge (with Jico stylus), have been fitted to this table, along with Zu Audio phone cable, making this a true high-end plug and play setup. The tonearm, cart, and cable themselves would total over $1k on eBay. Also included are an extra armboard (drilled for Sumiko tonearm), original owners manual, transport screws, and Kyocera marketing materials.Good condition, rated a 7 on Audiogon scale due to 2 small knicks in the surface finish; see pics.Local sale is preferred, however I am willing to ship this beast. Shipping is expensive due to the size, weight, and value of this turntable, as well as the amount of time and materials required to pack safely—which includes the need to ship in 2 boxes. (The large dust cover will need its own box.) I do have lots of experience shipping turntables and other audio equipment, which is crucial for something like this. Also, I am extending the “handling time” to one week on this item, to ensure I have ample time to package this appropriately. Please allow one week to ship. It’s worth the extra few days to have it done right :)
