1994 Ford B700 RV Bus Conversion Tiny House Cummins Diesel

Price:
$9,500
Summary:
Used 1994 164,384 miles
Location:
Flint, MI
Description:

1994 Ford B700 school bus – mechanically in great shape. Oil changed, new fuel filter, windshield wipers, tires have less than 1000 miles on them. Engine runs great, Cummins diesel 5.9 turbo, Installed the killer dowel pin kit (including gaskets) so this motor is bulletproof and only has (164xxx) miles. Two new deep cycle heavy equipment batteries, hydraulic disc brakes recently serviced. When I got her she was being used as a church bus so she had the standard seats and rubber floor. Took all the seats out, ripped up the rubber and took out all the plywood subfloor. Removed surface rust and painted with rustoleum paint, installed new ¾ inch plywood and reclaimed hardwood flooring. Framed up the walls and ran PEX for all the plumbing – 40 gallon fresh water tank mounted under the bed and 33 gallon gray water underneath. Has an optional direct freshwater connection underneath that can be hooked into a hose for boondocking. 12 volt 3GPM shurflo pump with an extra pump for parts. All work and parts and appliances were added brand new within the last year. Installed a Danby 4.4 cubic foot all fridge, and a Marey 3.1 GPM instant hot water heater (propane). Built a holder for a standard 20lb propane tank in front of the rear axle with a splitter that runs to the hot water heater and quick disconnect on the counter that hooks into a two burner propane stove (included). Installed a butchers block countertop and undermount sink as well as a brushed nickel pull down faucet. There is a 2000 watt inverter as well as a converter/maintainer to keep the batteries topped off when hooked into power (120 volt standard plug, extension cord hooks in under the bus). All the necessities (lights, water, hot water) run off 12v so can be lived in off the grid if batteries can be maintained. The original bus lights are still functional and three additional LED’s were installed to give light above the table, counter and bed area. Two of the original bus seats were salvaged, reupholsterd and installed facing each other (one from each side of the bus) to create a dining room table area. Table is made out of a glued up panel of pine. 2 12” Pioneer subwoofers are mounted under one of the seats. The couch directly opposite the table is made from three chairs, arms removed, and attached together. The electronics panel as well as the amplifier for the subwoofer is mounted underneath the couch. The desk, electronics panel, and milk crate storage area all have attachments and bungies to keep things from sliding open while mobile. The bed area in the back fits a queen size mattress and has a lot of storage area underneath as well as the freshwater tank and pump assembly. The “broom closet” where the hot water heater is located and the closet opposite are for storage, as well as some plastic bins installed under the desk and two sections under the couch. I built shelves above the dinner table and above the desk for pots and pans, cookware, and misc. Shower is a 3x3 fiberglass tub pan with walls built out of FRP panels and plywood. Flexible shower head, drains to gray water. Toilet is rudimentary – urine diverter empties out behind rear axle (can be setup to drain to a tank) and solid waste toilet is composting. There are several slightly unfisnished areas (an unfloored square located next to bed and some hardwood floor by the toilet) that either need to be covered or built on – leaves room for modification. The driver compartment is relatively untouched – rubber mat flowing was put down and all hvac systems cleaned and tested. Wireless rear view camera was installed and the rear heater was repositioned under milk crate shelves. There are two bins located underneath the bus – the smaller on the right hand side houses the gray water tank. It is setup so it is constantly draining but has a screw on cap for areas where you need to hold your waste. The left bin is storage and currently only houses a 50 ft hose (included). The two emergency exits located on the roof were removed and resealed to fix leaks. The entire roof was repainted with an RV roofing paint to keep temperature down in the summer and reseal from moisture. Included is a new window AC unit – used a couple times, and a heater, both 120v (for plugin). All the curtains are included except for the red ones over the rear windows. There is a curtain attached magnetically that separates the bedroom from the rest of the living area. 3 speakers run off the headunit. Other than that and the earlier listed items, nothing is included that isn’t bolted down. Clear title, retitled as motorhome so no CDL required to drive, and recently passed inspection
