1967-1968 DOMINO Spartan Electric Guitar

Up for sale is a 1967-1968 Domino Spartan. Made in Japan, most likely by Matsumoku.The guitar was rebuilt from a stripped husk. It was refinished in Olympic White acrylic lacquer, which is close to the original color. Paint job is pretty good, overall. Previous owner stripped and sanded the neck, including the headstock, and sprayed it with some type of matte lacquer. Most of the original parts had to be replaced. The only original parts remaining are the pickguard, back plates, bridge & vibrato tailpiece, a three-way switch, and a tone bypass slider switch.The tuners, electronics, knobs, pickups, and all the wiring have been replaced. The previous owner stripped out all of the wiring, so it has been rewired in a basic Strat configuration. The original three-way switch and tone bypass switch are disconnected and non-functional. The Domino headstock logo is a replacement. The whammy bar works fine, but is non-original.The truss rod turns, but did little to solve the severe upbow of the neck when I first bought it. I had a guitar tech plane the neck, refret it, and make a new nut. Now the guitar plays well and action is comfortable. You will likely have to have the guitar adjusted and set up professionally to your specific preferences.I have enjoyed playing the guitar, but I have decided to sell it to downsize my collection.Please review the photos carefully to examine the overall condition of the guitar, and ask any questions prior to purchase.
