Couesnon Monopole STAR Eb/D trumpet in almost new condition - Made in France , probably mid to late 1960's. Serial 41606.Couesnon only made professional instruments and this Eb/D horn is almost a time-capsule.The STAR model was one of the Top Line instruments.Has a few really small dings that I had to use a magnifying glass to find.The valves are fast and smooth and it plays really nicely in both Eb and D. Has only the main tuning slide to change to D and has nice intonation with the proper mouthpiece, of course.I used this horn in concert band performances probably only twice, usually in marches that were composed in Europe where the higher pitched trumpets played a accompanying part to the rest of the trumpet section. Would also work nicely in Brass and Cornet Bands.I'm playing mostly Big Band stuff these days and just have too many horns in my stable. I came across this in a case that I had almost forgotten about, so I'm pleased to offer it to a new owner.No International bidding.Comes in a good hard case (not original).A reasonable starting bid is set for this fantastic horn, and buyer to pay actual shipping via UPS or USPS.On Feb-06-24 at 09:25:17 PST, seller added the following information:The pictures don't do it justice, the camera had low resolution so where it might seem tarnished, it is bright Silver throughout.
