Queenie is a gorgeous, 3.5 year old, 70lb pit mix who is just a giant baby in disguise. She is full of energy and loves to play! She has no knowledge of personal space and just wants to be on top of you and in your face. Queenie would do best in a home without other dogs or cats. She's done well with well-mannered kids, but she is a jumper and may knock them over. She loves to greet you with her sweet face and wagging tail. She would make an excellent companion and cuddle buddy! She is easily spooked by strange objects (ex. wheelbarrows, plastic bags), shadows, and strangers at first. Once she meets you, she is a lovebug and a goofball! Her favorite toys are giant rope toys and hard chew bones. Please help us get Queenie out of the shelter!Adoption processPlease be sure to review the shelters Adoption Process prior to considering our facility for your adoption journey.Shelter locationWCHS is conducting the viewing of our animals by appointment only. The Kennel Adoption Application and Cat Room Questionnaire can be found on our website under the ADOPT tab, then click Adoption Process. Please be sure to review our processes closely before filling out either form.Once the forms are submitted, management will receive and review them within 24-48 hours. Please understand that our facility is receiving a high volume of request and are doing our best to accommodate as many as possible. Management may not contact you for 3-5 days. You will either be contacted via phone, or email with the findings of our inquiry and/or to schedule your one-on-one viewing appointment with staff.Please understand that our facility takes the health and safety of its staff and surrounding community very seriously. With that being said, entry to our building is only granted to those who have been pre-approved and have been given a viewing appointment. Walk-in viewing IS NOT an option.
