Grilled Pineapple was found trying to cross the street while dragging her back legs behind her on a cold winter night. Starved, struggling to walk, suffering from a UTI and hyperthyroidism – she was merely tossed out to fend for herself.At intake, it was found Pineapple is completely deaf and half blind. She has no use of her tail from a spinal injury – she uses the litterbox but, as an older lady and due to her injury, sometimes has a little accident. Her bad legs are functional now but a little wonky and she has arthritis. She is on medication for hyperthyroidism (she is easy to pill). She is in mid-stage kidney failure due to her age.Pineapple loves people, not so much other cats at this time. All she want is a warm bed, someone to give her soft pets and ear rubs, and a bowl of food and water. She purrs nonstop around people and will happily jump up on the couch to snuggle and sleep next to you. She also really likes meowing at cars.She doesn't have a single mean bone in her little body – yet she was clearly discarded like trash.We are looking for a long-term foster who is an experienced cat person for Pineapple. She has a wonderful personality, uses the litterbox and just needs someone with a big heart to take her in. As a long-term foster, PALS will continue to support her medical needs.She is in temporary foster care, but a more stable home needs to be found for her due to the overwhelming number of cats currently in foster care with PALS. She is 17. This cat has tested FeLV/FIV. negative, is current on vaccinations, parasite-free and litter-box trained.
