We see small French provincial cabinets such as this offered under various terms including Breton Wood Armoire and Bonnetiere Bretonne. This appears to be late 19th Century, perhaps as late as 1900. Most of the decorative elements are carved or turned however the designs on the sides and the top near the edge have been pressed. This cabinet measures just under 18 inches tall, 6 1/2 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches deep with glass in the larger opening and an 8 1/4 inch long metal hinge on the door. Weight is just under 2 lbs. The glass in the opening appears to have been replaced and has been placed with silicone rather than brads (not visible from exterior). Door latch is in working order. The cabinet is intact with no cracks, all joins secure, a small mark on the lower right (as you face it) foot and a very small loss to one rear foot. Shipping & Handling includes full insurance.
